microsoft on web is dead

Well here's a bombshell for you.
Naturally it's a rumor and is out of context and all.
But comming from Eric it is at least worth looking at.
So here's the Friday the 7'th joke for you:
Microsoft claims that the web is dead!
I can understand that this is how things look from Redmond. For them the whole web is dead and buried all right :D

I was under the impression that the Krosoft guys were starting to look towards the web with more interest and appreciation than they did beafore. And also TechCrunch classified them among the top 3 most web 2.0 companies in 2005 or something like that, along with Yahoo!.

Strange things happen.

As intriguing as it sounds it's still a rumor and should be treated as such. But it tickles your brain a little thinking that M$ has some strategy to get people back on desktop and away from the web 2.0 app wave. I personally think that they will never manage to truly adjust to the new global sharing/OS mindset.
But yes, the world is a strange place. Especially when viewed usng a browser :P

Maybe when the web 2.0 wave is going to be over Krosoft will try to find something to get people back to the desktops, maybe something related to remote desktop-ing via the web or something like that.

Well if they don't have something soon they don't stand any chance of catching up on web. And they don't do very well on the desktop part either.
